2009.01.07 Austin Peay research team wins algae-to-bio-oil grant - Biofuels Digest
In Tennessee, an Austin Peay research team received a $10,000 grant from the EPA, on tope of a $107,000 National Science Foundation grant, to pursue the production of BioOil from sunlight, water and CO2. The resulting BioOil is transformed into biodiesel, ethanol and hydrogen. The researchers say that their algae-based process has no waste, recycling wastewater for algae production.
